Why Some Faces Look Young
A baby face shares the proportions of children's faces: large eyes, a small nose, full cheeks, a rounded chin and a high forehead. People read those features as young at any age. It's mostly bone structure, so it doesn't change, but you can add cues people read as mature. More on the features in baby face features in adults.
Haircut: Add Structure
Soft, fluffy or very long hair adds to a young look. A cut with clean lines does the opposite. For men: a side part with a taper, a short textured crop or a neat crew cut. For women: a sharp blunt bob, a sleek lob, or long hair worn smooth rather than in loose, playful styles. Avoid heavy, straight fringes, which emphasise a high forehead and round face.

Facial Hair (Men)
A beard or heavy stubble is the strongest single cue of maturity. It adds a jawline to a rounded chin. If your beard is patchy, keep it to short stubble and shape the edges; a sparse long beard looks younger. See patchy beard fixes.
Glasses and Brows
Glasses with defined, slightly thicker frames add structure to the eye area and read as mature. Well-groomed, slightly stronger brows do the same. Choose frames that suit your face shape; see glasses for round faces if your face is round.

Clothes: Fit, Tailoring and Darker Colours
Graphic tees, hoodies and oversized fits read young. Tailored pieces, a blazer, a structured jacket, collared shirts, fitted trousers and leather shoes read older. Darker and neutral colours (navy, charcoal, olive, camel) look more mature than bright, saturated ones. A good watch is a small, effective addition.
You can try outfits on a model of your build in Ollie Stylist: the Clean classic and Old money styles are built from exactly these pieces.
Posture, Voice and Confidence
Standing tall, keeping still rather than fidgeting, making eye contact and speaking a little slower and lower all read as mature. They often matter more than any haircut.
